Getting Started Checklist
- Get a computer for InBloom to run on
That’s not too hard and should be based on the number of users you plan on using with InBloom. See the chart above for the exact system requirements. If you have two or more users you must use FileMaker Pro and we strongly recommend that you designate a Mac or PC to only serve your InBloom data over your network. Make sure you do not share files, serve web pages, play video games, or stream iTunes from this server computer. Otherwise a laptop meeting the above System Requirements can easily suface for InBloom Lite. - Install FileMaker (only necessary for InBloom Pro)
Run through the FileMaker installation process. This is usually simple and only requires you to double-click an installer, type in your FileMaker serial number when prompted, and activate your copy of FileMaker Pro immediately by internet or by fax/phone. - Install InBloom
Both the InBloom Pro files and the InBloom Lite application are available from our download page at www.InBloomSoftware.com. Download the .zip file of whichever is appropriate for your business, doubleclick the .ZIP file and drag the InBloom folder to your Applications folder (on Mac) or place it in your c:/Program Files folder on Windows. For Lite users, double-click the InBloom Shop Software icon (InBloom.EXE application on Windows) to open InBloom and walk thru the startup process. You can via an installation movie on the InBloom website as well.
