Printing Mailing Labels

There are two ways you can print mailing labels in InBloom 2.0:

The first is to use the quick and easy toolbar buttons on any contacts screen to print a single mailing label or strip of multiple labels to your tag printer.  This is appropriate if you are using adhesive mailing labels as your price tag and if you want to print only a select few at a time.

The second method is to print sheets of labels using your document printer.  InBloom, by default, includes support for Avery 5160 labels which measure 2-5/8″ x 1″ and are 30 labels per page.  If you want to send a piece of mail to all consignors, buyers, mailing list subscribers or anyone by state, you can use the functionality in the Reports module.  Go to the Main Menu > Other Modules > Reports > scroll to the report named Mailing Labels and click Setup Report.

In the resulting screen, you can set up several parameters for the report to ensure you print as many or as few labels as you like.

  • If you want to print only buyers, set the Buyer Flag field to buyer
  • If you want to print only consignors, set the Consignor field to consignor]
  • If you want to print both consignors and buyers, set each field as denoted above
  • If you want to limit the contacts to a series of certain states, you can include a comma-delimited list of states such as NY, NJ, CT, PA, DE in the example above
  • If you want to include contacts who have been flagged with the Mailing List checkbox, set the Mailing List field to mailing list as in the example above
  • If you want to include ALL contacts, simply enter an asterisk * in the States field

Once you have specified which contacts you would like to print, simply click Run Report.  When the search for matching records is complete, if there are any matching records, you will see a Sort dialog window so you can arrange the labels in any particular order.  By default, the labels are set to sort by Zip Code.  Be sure to place the labels in your printer and click the Print button when the standard Print window appears.  Your done!
